Mountain Biking Events For Women
Just back home from Church Stretton, where we held another great Daisy Chain MTB event.
The route took the women montain bikers up over the Longmynd, a site of outstanding natural beauty managed by the National Trust.
There was a choice of 2 routes, 20 Km or 35 Km, well over half of the riders chose to ride the 35Km route. Despite the early foggy weather, conditions improved and there were some stunning views from the top of the Longmynd.
All the riders recieved a medal and certificate, and as much tea, coffee and cake as they could manage!
We have no more events planned for 2014, but as soon as plans for the future are sorted, they will be posted here.
We want to encourage women mountain bikers, both novice and experienced to come and enjoy a mountain bike ride in beautiful surroundings, with other like minded women. The events are not intimidating or dangerous, just fun on a bike, perhaps in the mud! but hopefully in the sunshine!
(You don't need to be a member of British Cycling to use their site. But if you would like to know more about British Cycling membership click here)
We have a new charity partner for 2014, The Anaphylaxis Campaign, for more info see their page. At the events this year SCOTT Bikes will again be providing demo bikes for you to try out on the ride.
